Pascale Giguère, Concertmaster of Les Violons du Roy, leads the orchestra in this all-Mozart program that highlights the famous composer’s dramatic and complex side. The Overture from Idomeneo is full of high drama and expectation. The structurally complex and distinct-sounding Symphony No. 39 is fiery, grand and rich. In one of only two minor-key piano concertos that Mozart composed, Ukrainian pianist Serhiy Salov shows off his glittering technique.
