CANADA'S BALLET JÖRGEN PRESENTS THE NUTCRACKER A CANADIAN TRADITION

Canada’s Ballet Jörgen returns to Kitchener-Waterloo this December with Bengt Jörgen’s uniquely Canadian holiday classic The Nutcracker: A Canadian Tradition. The Nutcracker: A Canadian Tradition will play at Centre in the Square for one day only on Saturday, December 28, 2018, for two performances: 2 pm and 7 pm. Featuring choreography by Bengt Jörgen and the beloved music of Tchaikovsky, this Canadian family holiday favourite continues to delight audiences of all ages. Sue LePage’s beautiful costume and set designs reflect Jörgen’s vision of a distinctly Canadian Nutcracker set in Algonquin Park – where Klara meets lumberjacks, Mounties and woodland creatures on her dream journey, and dancers perform against 20th Century landscape paintings by the Group of Seven and other Canadian artists. Audiences continue to return to The Nutcracker: A Canadian Tradition year after year to experience the magic of the holidays in a uniquely Canadian setting.
