Last month Centre In The Square and KOI Music Festival announced a new partnership: KOI Fest at The Parking Lot. We didn’t have the full line-up then, but we do now! You won’t want to miss the award-winning Canadian artists you know and love and up-and-coming local talent just waiting to be discovered.
What’s there to see you ask?
The headlining act has been around for over a decade now, and has almost as many albums to show for it, plus six Juno Awards. The Sam Roberts Band broke onto the music scene early last decade with the hit “Brother Down.” And last year, they were nominated for Single of Year for “We’re All in This Together” and for Album of the Year for Lo-Fantasy.
You’ll also get to see The Tokyo Police Club, who just released a new album last month: Melon Collie and the Infinite Radness. And The Strumbellas, described by Forbes as “one of those hard-to-pin-down-a-genre, alternative-rock-pop-slash-folk bands.” They have also just released a new album last month called Hope. Oh, and did we mention they’re also JUNO Award winners?
Also to join A Stage is Hannah Georgas. CBC describes her as “a critically acclaimed recording artist who writes music that is full of depth, emotion, honesty and catchy hooks.” She also has several JUNO Award nominations under her belt and has released one EP and two albums. She also has a new album, For Evelyn set to drop just days before KOI Fest At The Parking Lot. She just released “Don’t Go” as a teaser of her new album.
Stage A is 19+ with admission by ticket only. Tickets are only $69.50 for a full day-long festival or you can upgrade to our Garage VIP Package for $125 to get exclusive perks!
