Weekend Arts Around Town (February 19 – 21)

Don’t know what to do this weekend? If you’re not heading to The Centre this weekend for Jamie Adkins: Circus Incognitus, we’ve got a few ideas:

February 17 – 24
The Pink Shirt Promise
Conestoga Mall, in the Winners Court
Help make the world a kinder place! Head over to Conestoga Mall to participate in the #PinkShirtPromise.  Be a part of this great cause by writing a promise for kindness on a Post-It Note to place on the Post-it Pink wall.  For every promise of kindness posted a donation of $1 will be made to WAYVE (Wellness Acceptance Youth Voices Empowerment), a peer-led prevention program created by the youth of Waterloo Region which helps to support programs in schools, to end bullying in our community.

Saturday, February 20 @ 8PM
Alana Bridgewater Quartet
The Registry Theatre
One of Canada’s finest singers, Alana Bridgewater performs the Great Songs of Jazz at The Registry this Saturday! Hear favourites such as “In a Sentimental Mood”, “Come Rain or Come Shine”, “I’m Beginning to See the Light”, as well as Herbie Hancock’s stunning arrangement of Joni Mitchell’s “River”.
This concert is also part of K-W’s first Winter Jazz Festival, presented by The Registry Theatre in partnership with The Jazz Room and The Boathouse.  Entry cost $25.00 per person.
