Weekend Arts Around Town (September 4-7)

Don’t know what to do this Labour Day weekend? We’ve got a few ideas:

Saturday, September 5 @ 10AM-12.30PM
Bike Back to School Activity Day
Breithaupt Community Centre
September is just around the corner, summer is coming to an end, and kids are getting ready to go back to school. Bring the family out to Breithaupt Community Centre for one more hurrah before school begins at the Bike Back to School Activity Day. You can ride on the trails, participate in a scavenger hunt, try some bike safety activities to win some prizes, and enter a draw to win a FREE bike from Ziggy’s Cycle and Sport.

Monday, September 7 @12PM-4PM
Labour Day Picnic in the Park
Waterloo Park
Spend Labour Day in Waterloo Park! There will be free hot dogs, hamburgers, corn-on-the-cob and vegetarian samosas. Your kids will have a blast with all of the free children’s activities including pony rides, bouncy castle, face painting, balloon making, and more! There will also be live music.
All profits from the event will be donated on a 50-50 basis to the United Way of Kitchener-Waterloo and the United Way of Cambridge and North Dumfries.
Everything at this year’s picnic (except the cash bar) will be FREE.

September 3-7
Paris Fair
Paris Fair Grounds
The Paris Fall Fair, held each Labour Day Weekend is truly a jewel in the crown of Ontario Fairs. For 157 years, the annual event brings people together to celebrate the rural way of life and features big name grandstand entertainment, agricultural displays, craft exhibits, livestock shows, midway rides, and much more!
