Step Afrika! delivers a high-energy performance that fuses explosive step choreography with a live DJ, creating a rhythm-driven experience unlike anything else on stage. Rooted in traditions from historically Black fraternities and sororities, stepping is brought to life through precision, athleticism, and pure percussive power.
Blending traditional African dance with contemporary movement, music, storytelling, and humour, each performance is as interactive as it is electrifying. The result is a show that doesn’t just entertain, it pulls the audience into the rhythm.
As the world’s leading authority on stepping, Step Afrika! has toured more than 60 countries and continues to push the art form forward under the leadership of C. Brian Williams. Named an official Cultural Ambassador of Washington, D.C., the company has performed at the White House, including President Barack Obama’s Black History Month Reception and the first-ever Juneteenth Celebration.
