TARANTA Presented by Pat The Dog Theatre Creation

Studio Theatre

Description

As part of Femme Folks Fest 2026, we are thrilled to welcome Frog in Hand for an Artistic Creation Residency during the festival. Midway through their residency, the company will present a special one-night-only performance of TARANTA, a powerful dance-theatre work celebrating female strength and the spirit of “women’s work.”

This intimate evening of contemporary dance and storytelling offers audiences a rare glimpse into a work in progress shaped by collaboration, community, and lived experience. Following the performance, stay for a conversation with the artists as they share insights into their creative process, the realities of life as professional dancers, and the inspiration behind the work.

Founded in 2012, Frog in Hand is a Mississauga-based dance-theatre company known for creating meaningful, accessible, and site-specific performances rooted in the communities and spaces we share. Blending dance and theatre, their work uplifts under-represented voices, promotes wellbeing, and sparks connection through storytelling.

A unique festival highlight and a truly special night of artistry.
