Loading Information

There is 1 standard hand pallet truck (27″ x 48″) available for use.

The loading doors are located on Ellen Street. There are signs on most major streets and highways directing traffic to Centre In The Square. Trucks should follow the signs which direct buses to parking.

Loading dock floor level is the same level as the stage and is 1.2m or 4′ above ground level. There are 3 loading doors. Door #1 is 3.8m/12’6″ high by 3m/10′ wide and is equipped with a load leveller. Door #2 is 2.7m/9′ high by 3m/10′ wide and is also equipped with a load leveller. Door #3 is 2.5m/8’2″ high by 3m/10′ wide and loads directly into a freight elevator. Door #3 is not equipped with a load leveller. All loading docks can accommodate a 13.5m/45′ tractor trailer. It is approximately 12m/40′ from the loading doors to the stage right side of the stage. There are no obstructions.

Because of the local fire regulations, no vehicle may be parked in the loading area beyond the time required to load or unload it. There is a parking lot behind the theatre which is reserved for theatre personnel and smaller vehicles used by touring companies. Access is restricted. Please see the Stage Door Receptionist for details.

Larger vehicles may park in a designated area at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium which is approximately 1 kilometre (half mile) from Centre In The Square.

Note: Trucks and buses may NOT be left running in the loading dock area. The fresh air intake to the building is located in this area. Parking and shore power for buses can be provided.
