Centre In The Square (CITS) is proud to announce the engagement of Jonathan Randall as its Director of Marketing and Development. Jonathan will join the CITS team on November 18th.
Jonathan is a respected entertainment professional with over 15 years of expertise in event marketing, fund development, artist management, and project leadership. Before joining the Centre in The Square, he served as the Director of Marketing and Development at Drayton Entertainment, where he drives sales, brand storytelling, and contributed revenue for one of Canada’s largest not-for-profit arts organizations. In this role, Jonathan leads a team responsible for attracting over 225,000 patrons annually across seven venues in Ontario through strategic omni-channel marketing initiatives.
Prior to Drayton Entertainment, Jonathan was a Talent Agent at Canada’s leading theatrical talent agency, The Talent House, where he placed clients in acclaimed productions in Toronto, across Canada, in major National Tours and in several productions on Broadway. Jonathan has also produced notable theatrical projects, including a touring version of Neil Simon’s Brighton Beach Memoirs and the sold-out Canadian premiere of Disney’s High School Musical 2 at the Toronto Centre for the Arts (now Meridian Arts Centre).
Additionally, he brings a wealth of experience in merchandising, social media, and publicity campaigns, having collaborated with industry giants such as Disney Theatrical, Disney Home Entertainment, Fox Searchlight Pictures, and Warner Bros., as well as respected performing arts venues like the Orillia Opera House and the Toronto Centre for the Arts.
“The CITS Team is very much looking forward to work with Jonathan on its ambitious marketing and fund development plan. Jonathan has been central in building one of the strongest brands for a nonprofit entertainment property in the region. He is the perfect leader to deliver CITS capacity building and brand strategy as a leading live experience destination, and cultural hub for the Kitchener-Waterloo region.”
