Description

OOPS! A Live Comedy Show About Fleeing America is a bold and autobiographical solo performance that blends sharp wit with personal storytelling. In this provocative and frequently hilarious show, one queer woman shares her journey of self-discovery south of the border and the unexpected, life-altering decision of where to build a future next.

Created and performed by Emme Kay Kennedy, the show moves effortlessly between stand-up, improvisation, and heartfelt reflection. With humour and insight, Kennedy weaves together jokes and hard-earned wisdom in a performance that is as enlightening as it is entertaining.

Recently returned to the Kitchener-Waterloo region after more than 25 years in the United States, Kennedy brings a dynamic and multidisciplinary background to the stage, spanning devised performance, directing, producing, and creative leadership. The result is a smart, self-aware, and deeply human evening of comedy that resists easy labels while inviting audiences into honest conversation.

Insightful, irreverent, and refreshingly candid, this is storytelling with bite and heart.
