This season, we’re thrilled to present a dynamic lineup of performances that engage, educate, and inspire young audiences. From interactive concerts and science-powered spectacles to compelling stories told through hip-hop, dance, and glow-in-the-dark puppetry, each show is thoughtfully curated to spark curiosity, celebrate diversity, and encourage creative expression.

Sing Pitch Perfect With Deke Sharon & Splüsh (Grades 6-8)

Join legendary arranger, producer, and “Father of Contemporary A Cappella” Deke Sharon for an interactive singing experience inspired by the Pitch Perfect films. Audience members will learn and sing “Since U Been Gone” with Deke’s expert guidance. Aca-mazing!

The show also features behind-the-scenes stories from the movie-making process and a special performance by Splüsh, winners of First Place and Audience Choice at the 2025 SING! Canadian A Cappella Championships.

Doktor Kaboom: Under Pressure (Grades 3-8)

Equal parts interactive science, comedy, and personal empowerment, Doktor Kaboom: Under Pressure uses explosive demonstrations, hilarious moments, and plenty of audience participation to make science exciting, accessible, and fun!
Doktor Kaboom shares tools, encouragement, and life lessons for handling challenges with confidence and curiosity. Educational, funny, and inspiring, Under Pressure is a fantastic experience for students, families, and anyone ready to laugh, learn, and be amazed.

ILL-Abilities: No Excuses, No Limits (Grades 4-8)

Dance like anything is possible! Hailed by The Guardian as “a powerful force on the hip-hop dance stage,” the international award-winning breakdance crew ILL-Abilities brings No Excuses, No Limits to Kitchener, featuring some of the world’s best B-boys with disabilities. Through dance, music, and interaction, they invite audiences to see the creativity and limitless potential within every performer.
Having performed in more than 25 countries for over one million audience members, this crew continues to inspire through its incredible talent, optimism, and message of empowerment.

Sultans of String: The Refuge Show (Grade K-8)

Three-time JUNO Award-nominated and six-time Canadian Folk Music Award-winning ensemble Sultans of String bring The Refuge Show to the stage, a powerful concert experience shining a light on the stories, songs, and experiences of the world’s displaced peoples.

Inspired by their acclaimed album Refuge and joined by special guests, this show blends Celtic reels, flamenco, Django-jazz, Arabic rhythms, and more into a vibrant celebration of musical connection. Uplifting, thoughtful, and deeply human, this is an evening of music that celebrates the power of coming together.

Ocean Blue (Grades JK-4)

Ocean Blue is a breathtaking theatrical journey through the wonders of our planet’s oceans. When Charlie, a young crab longing for a different life, is suddenly swept into danger, he tumbles into the mysterious depths of The Gully, a deep-sea trench in the Atlantic Ocean. His unexpected adventure carries him across the Atlantic, Arctic, and Pacific Oceans, where he travels alongside extraordinary marine life and discovers the power of courage, kindness, and friendship.
Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia brings this one-hour experience of underwater world to life through spectacular puppetry, immersive design, dynamic digital projection, and original music. Designed for children ages 5 and up.

DeeDee Austin (Grades 6-8)

DeeDee Austin is an Indigenous singer-songwriter and proud member of the Abegweit First Nation on Prince Edward Island whose powerful voice and heartfelt songwriting are inspiring audiences across Canada.

Blending contemporary pop with traditional Indigenous influences, DeeDee has earned more than 20 awards and nominations, including multiple Music Nova Scotia Indigenous Artist of the Year honours, and received Howie Mandel’s Golden Buzzer on Canada’s Got Talent.

Passionate about using music as a tool for positive change, DeeDee shares messages of self-acceptance, encouraging young people to embrace who they are and lead with heart.

BOOM (Grades 9-12)

BOOM brings history to life in an explosive solo performance that explores the music, culture, and world events that shaped one of the most transformative periods in modern history!

Through more than 100 characters, 25 iconic songs, cutting-edge multimedia, and powerful storytelling, this fast-paced production takes students from 1945 to 1969, beginning with the first atomic bomb and ending with the Apollo 11 moon landing. Along the way, BOOM explores defining moments including the Cold War, McCarthyism, Beatlemania, JFK, MLK, Vietnam, and the Summer of Love.
